2016 ranking of the most expensive lots and bottles still shows the strong domination of Bordeaux and Burgundy, yet the record is held for the first time by a bottle from the Rhône. Here is the rundown of the top bottles auctioned on iDealwine over the course of last year. This overview provides a snapshot of the year, illustrating on the one hand particular circumstances and on the other some underlying, structural trends.
