Mature vintages | Ready to uncork

These bottles have been waiting in the cellar for long enough. It’s high time they were uncorked and enjoyed!

Bordeaux and its splendours

The king of this sale is Bordeaux, with its great reds and its fine Sauternes, THE specialist in old vintages. Don’t miss the Pauillacs, Lafite-Rothschild 1989, Mouton-Rothschild 1986, Pontet Canet 2005, as well as the Margaux with Château Palmer 1989, the delicious Cheval Blanc 1990 in Saint-Emilion or the Saint Julien such as Léoville Las Cases (1995, 2005, 2007…) If you are tempted by the wine of kings, the sweet nectar of Sauternes, sip the Château Guiraud 2005 and Château d’Yquem 2007.

Burgundy beauties

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay come into their own in Burgundy with their many charms: Ruchottes-Chambertin 1993 from Armand Rousseau and Gevrey-Chambertin 1990 from Claude Dugat. Made from the finest Chardonnay, we have: Bâtard-Montrachet 1993 from Ramonet as well as the Meursault Luchets 1993 from Domaine Roulot.

A 25th anniversary

Take advantage of this sale to enjoy the 1996 vintage with a celebratory meal. In Bordeaux, 1996 was a memorable year, both in quality and quantity. The perfect ripeness of the Cabernet Sauvignon, the full, ample, aromatic character and the ageing potential of the Médoc wines bear witness to this. Don’t miss the vintages of Châteaux Lafite-Rothschild, Léoville-Las-Cases and Montrose. In Burgundy, quality is combined with abundance. The red wines are structured by fine tannins and harmonised by beautiful fruit and balance. The white wines are distinguished by well-developed aromas. They are full-bodied and elegant, marked by a charming acidity that gives them a lot of freshness. Discover the Echézeaux by Emmanuel Rouget, the Charmes-Chambertin from Domaine Geantet-Pansiot or the Bonnes-Mares by Dominique Laurent.

Champagne

Champagne ages, too! These wines have kept hold of their dynamism, whilst also gaining in complexity and wisdom with time, like this 2005 Dom Pérignon, and the 2008 Comtes de Champagne from Taittinger. From Krug, don’t miss the magnificent 2008 vintage, and from Louis Roederer, the Cristal cuvée in 1997. Are you a rosé fan? Philipponnat’s 2009 Clos des Goisses brut Juste Rosé is just the thing for you.
