Springbank fine spirits auction

New auction catalogues have been added to the Fine Spirits Auction website. A true festival, it contains the greatest spirits from around the word and several gems that can be snapped up for good prices. It brings together no fewer than 728 stars that can be bided on from around the around the globe.

Whiskies get the party started

Campbeltown takes top billing with great Springbank, including a local 1966 Barley, one of the pioneers of the range, and an even more revered 21-year-old from 1966. Ardbeg pulls out all the stops with an iconic 1974, along with a myriad of Committee editions. Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Kilchoman Octomore and Port Ellen complement the Islay collection. Gordon MacPhail brings a line-up of old vintages, going all the way back to 1949 (Glen Calder). Diageo’s Rare Malt range completes the picture with some of its rarest offerings, such as Brora and Port Ellen.

American whiskies are also present with jewels from Blanton’s (The Race) and Pappy Van Winkle. And Japan is also playing the main stage with Hibiki, Yoichi, Yamazaki and Chichibu as well as a bonus of Karuizawa Cherry Tree collection from Wealth Solutions.

Sublimes rare rums

We would be hard-pressed not to open the stage with the extremely rare Foursquare exceptional 1988 cask selection, the first in the series and by far the most sought-after. And Velier brings two exceptional Caroni single casks – 991 and 1994 – rarely available for sale, to the lineup.

Several agricultural rums from the 1970s and 1980s also feature: Maison La Mauny, Trois Rivières, Rhum J.M and Depaz.

Grappa and Chartreuse

For the very first time on FSA, you can bid on Grappa with a superb collection of 20 bottles from the discrete Levi Serafino distillery. And the stars of grape-based brandy are here as well: Hennessy Paradis and Remy Martin Louis XIII.

The Une Chartreuse edition is back on FSA with three vintages: 2015, 2016 and 2022. There are also some VEPs (Exceptionally Prolonged Ageing) going back to 1968.
