Fine Spirits Auction For a Good Cause: 4 Lots We Love

For the 3rd year running, Fine Spirits Auction is hosting a charity auction to celebrate Whisky Live in Paris. There are 20 exceptional spirits and exclusive experiences that will be displayed at the Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris during the fair before they go under the hammer.

Exceptional, even unique spirits

You may have already heard about some of the extraordinary lots that will be sold in this charity auction, including the exclusive experience in one of Scotland’s most luxurious castles. Certainly a unique experience that money can’t buy, this lot is sure to garner a lot of interest! In more traditional but no less exceptional bottle-sized lots, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourites:

  1. Japanese whiskies from Chichibu

Four Chichibu single casks distilled between 2013 and 2016, accompanied by artworks on the labels by a legendary Japanese artist, Kunihiko Moriguchi – whose works are exhibited in the world’s greatest museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Gordon & Macphail has donated a unique and exclusive decanter from a 1954 Glen Grant cask. This cask will not be bottled for several years, making it even rarer. The image on the product page is the glassmaker’s design.

2. Rare Scotch

It’s impossible for us to narrow it down to one favourite Scotch, especially where The Macallan is involved. From the Exceptional Casks range, this whisky is produced exclusively from casks selected by renowned whisky maker Sarah Burgess and bottled without reduction, this one distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2018.

3. Three Outstanding Rums in Rare Large Formats

Caroni Paradise has donated a lot of three blends, each blended from two Caroni Paradises from the 2025 Foundations collection, in magnum format.

The first rum is a Caroni 1994 Guyana Heavy Trinidad Blend Paradise: a blend of the two sister casks no. 7 and no. 8, both aged in the tropical climate of Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana before maturing in Lady Jeannes in the Cognac region. The second magnum in this batch is the Caroni 1996 Guyana Heavy Trinidad Blend Paradise, made up of Paradise no. 6 and no. 9 from the Créations 2025 catalogue. Finally, the third magnum is a Caroni Trinidad Blend Paradise, from bottlings no. 10 and no. 11 in the range.

Still on the subject of rums, there’s another batch that’s absolutely worth checking out, comprising three Planteray single casks from the 2025 Foundations collection, again in magnum. These are a Barbados 2004, a Fiji 2001 and a double-distilled Clarendon MLC 2001. All were aged in bourbon casks in a tropical climate, then matured in Cognac casks at Maison Ferrand.

Last but not least, the Neisson distillery is presenting an even more generous format: a unique jeroboam of Armada 2000 – Armada being one of Neisson’s most prestigious ranges, composed exclusively of single cask selected by Grégory Vernant – in a sublime crystal decanter blown exclusively for the occasion. Inside the bottle is a rum made mainly from blue cane grown on the volcanic terroir of Martinique’s Montagne Pelée. This is the only bottle available, as Armada 2000 is not yet on sale. Only 210 litres were produced for this edition.
