The 2025 iDealwine Barometer has been released! The auction report analyses all the key figures of wines auctioned on iDealwine in 2024. This article gives you exclusive access to the Top 10 highest-priced wines with a bottle of 2020 Romanée-Conti from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti taking the gold medal position, having been sold for €20,375 (VAT included).

Burgundy reigns supreme

Burgundy produced the 10 highest-priced wines auctioned in 2024 and fills 49 out of the 50 places in the Top 50. The only wine in the Top 50 that didn’t come from Burgundy was the American 1992 Screaming Eagle (in 27th place, €11,250). This French region was not ready to give up its leading position!

And the highest-priced wine of the year is…

Without much great surprise, the highest-priced wine of the year was a bottle of 2020 Romanée-Conti from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, which was sold for €20,375. We are well aware that this price is still high even if prices for the region have fallen. Last year, the same wine from the 2015 took this crown, having been sold for €22,912.

Top 10 highest-priced wines in 2024: Romanée-Conti steals the show

The entire Top 10 is filled with wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and the estate can even boast taking 32 spots in the Top 50.

Besides Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, we can also find Domaine d’Auvenay, Georges Roumier and Domaine Leroy in the Top 50.
