Burgundy keeps its top spot in the rankings
Even if prices lowered in 2023, Burgundy fills all 10 places of this Top 10. This region was not ready to give up its leading position!
And the highest-priced wine of the year is…
A bottle of Romanée-Conti 2015 went under the hammer for €22,912. We are well aware that this price is still high even if prices for the region have fallen. The producer itself fills 23 places in the list of the Top 50 highest-priced wines.
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Leroy, Auvenay, Roumier
Second place goes to the Musigny 2011 from Domaine Leroy which was auctioned for €22,444. The tables have turned since 2022 when this estate took the top spot over Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Domaine d’Auvenay, which is owned by Lalou Bize-Leroy, also appears in 6th place with a bottle of Chevalier-Montrachet 2005. Domaine Georges Roumier comes in 8th position thanks to its bottle of Musigny 2010.
