New arrivals! | A breeze from Burgundy and the Rhône

Perhaps it’s because we’re in extra need of some cheer this year, but it seems as though many of us are already looking forward to the festivities of December. Whether you’ve got special dinners on your mind or you’re looking for gift ideas, why not consider some of our new arrivals for inspiration?

Let’s open with some new vintages available from Domaine Clusel Roch (northern Côte-Rôtie) like the 2019 that you can try with the Serine cuvée, or the 2018 Les Grandes Places. From the same appellation, Domaine Jamet has some wonderful cellaring wines that you should try at least once! We also have a great selection from Guigal.

Here’s what the classic Burgundy has in store: Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg is an estate with an exceptional range shared across the finest appellations. Three grands crus have found their way into our cellar in the 2018 vintage, perfect for ageing: Ruchottes-Chambertin, Echézeaux, and Clos de Vougeot. Louis Latour also makes an appearance with numerous cuvées that have made aa comeback.

Drumroll please for one of our newest partner domains, a first for the Spanish domain Venus La Universal. Running the estate is Sara Pérez, a big name in Spanish viticulture, who applies eco-friendly principles to her work, crafting authentic, terroir wines. The Dido, Venus, and Venus de la Figuera cuvées are available in their 2014, 2015, and 2017 vintages.

We’ve also replenished our stocks from domains that you’ve shown particular interest for! Jean-Baptiste Senat recently hosted an online tasting session with us, so we can speak from experience when telling you that these cuvées are must-haves. Heading to Chablis, we have some fine bottles from Domaine Garnier. Production here is small-scale, and work in the vineyard and winery alike has one, main goal: to bring out the bets of the terroir. Mont-Milieu and Fourchaume are two first growth cuvées that you can enjoy in their 2018 vintages.

From the Loire valley, let’s take a look at a range from the soon-to-be elite of Sancerre: we’re talking about Domaine Delaporte. These prices are still reasonable, so why not go for a magnum of white Sancerre in the latest 2019 vintage, or perhaps their red Silex cuvée from 2018?

If you’re looking for something really special, we have a selection from Bordeaux’s Rive Gauche that lets you really explore the excellent 2018 vintage. This assorted case of 14 crus bourgeois exceptionnels from the Médoc will make for an unforgettable horizontal tasting!
