There is a certain joy that comes with a bottle whose date is gradually fading from the label, such has it endured the years. There’s a 2009 Haut-Brion in the mix, as well as a 2005 Clos des Lambrays…
Classics
We’re all too aware that, when it comes to mature vintages, you’re particular fans of the domains and châteaux that get good press. We recommend taking a look at the classic properties that appear in this sale. From Bordeaux to the Rhône Valley, and from Burgundy to Champagne, our mature vintage selection is bursting with bottles from the finest addresses. See for yourself: a 2009 Haut-Brion, a 2005 Clos des Lambrays, a 2006 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Rayas and a 1990 Dom Ruinart are all featured.
Think big!
We’ve got quite a few wines in generous formats, perfect for a jovial ambiance and with the added bonus of better aging. Since oxidation and contact with the cork are proportionally less in bottles of this size, the wine evolves much more slowly, allowing for the fruit to conserve better. No reason to resist! We have Magnums of 1995 Château Lynch-Bages and 2007 Salon Cuvée S, double-magnums of 2005 Château Dauzac and 2010 Château Rollan de By, and a jeroboam of Rota Gamète from Jean-François Ganevat.
A magnificent series from Château Siran
iDealwine is proud to propose an exceptional range of bottles from Château Siran, an unmissable property in the Margaux universe. Exceptional? Well, we have imperials and magnums as well as standard-sized bottles. The vintages stretch from 1986 to 2007, with some notable years for Bordeaux’s left bank: 1996, 2000, 2001 and 2005. And they all come from the cellar of one wie enthusiast. One of the particularities of this Margaux is its proportion of Petit Verdot, higher than is the case for many of its cousins at up to 15% in certain vintages. Aromas of red and black fruits will hit you upon opening these bottles, followed by an imposing tannic structure, the result of a 15-month maturation in oak barrels. These cuvées can be kept for a good while.
