iDealwine has stocked its cellar with great wines from all over France (and a few from the Americas for good measure!). Take a tour of iDealwine’s most illustrious wines and prepare to be starstruck by this month’s collection – the epitome of excellence and prestige in wine.
Starting in Bordeaux region, Pomerol offers a myriad of fine bottles, such as the illustrious 2015 Petrus, 2015 Château-le-Pin or 2016 Château Lafleur. This sale is also your chance to get your hands on cases of a Duclot collection, in the 2015 or 2016 vintages. The first Growths A of the Saint-Emilion appellation are also included, notably with the 2015 vintage – the same vintage available in bottles of Cheval-Blanc, Ausone and Pavie. There are also beautiful bottles of Château Angélus 2012 and 2016.
The best known names in Burgundy are also restocked in iDealwine’s cellar, such as this incredible case of Domaine de la Romanée Conti 2018. Extraordinary vintages from Domaine Coche Dury will be on sale, such as a 2015 Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne or a 2016 Meursault 1er-Cru-Caillerets. Finally, you will be able to find a 2015 clos-de-tart-mommessin, owned by LVMH or a 2018 Echezeaux Grand Cru from Domaine Eugénie (René Engel).
As every wine lover knows, the Rhone Valley is also home to some of the world’s best wines. Winemaker Jean-Louis Chave is heavily represented in this sale with numerous bottles of Hermitage, in various vintages from 2014 to 2017, while Domaine Gangloff offers us an incredible Côtes-Rôtie Rozier 2015. Following the sale, you can also enjoy some bottles of 2013 and 2015 Hermitage from Domaine Chapoutier.
If you wish are on the lookout for large formats, no doubt you’ll spot a double-magnum of Pouilly-Fumé Buisson Renard 2012 straight away as well as a Pur Sang 2012 from Domaine Dagueneau. In magnum format, you can also buy a Chinon-les-Varennes from Domaine Charles Joguet. From the Loire Valley, there is the prestigious Clos Rougeard and its divine Saumur-Champigny Le Bourg et les Poyeux 2015, or Richard Leroy’s Noël de Montbenault 2015.
In the south of France, the Corsican wines of Clos Canarelli light up this selection, notably with a Figari Amphora 2020 or an Alta Rocca 2017. To remind you of your summer holidays, you can now become the proud owner of a Bandol-Cabassou-2015 from the Peyraud family or a Château-Revelette 2015, although you might manage to wait till autumn to open it!
Finally, many bottles from across the Atlantic can also be discovered on iDealwine. You’re spoiled for choice with some of Napa Valley’s top producers – we think the 2016 Harlan Estate will sell out very quickly! From South America, there is a wonderful magnum of Mendoza Cheval des Andes 2014 and 2012.
