The American wine critic James Suckling recently published his 2025 list of the 100 best French wines. Discover which iDealwine partner producers are among those mentioned in his rankings. The selection is rich and varied and you can find new treasures to add to your collection.

James Suckling publishes a list of the top wines from around the world each year: South Africa, Germany, Spain, Austria, Australia, Portugal, USA,  Bordeaux and, of course, a top 100 of the whole of France. This year, it’s Domaine Jean-Marc Burgaud which sits at the top of the rankings. This is an unmissable winemaker in Beaujolais with 19 hectares of vines planted on clay soil spread across the Morgon, Régnié, Beaujolais-Villages and Beaujolais Blanc appellations. In second place sits Château d’Issan, rewarded for its 2022 vintage. Often called the vintage of the century by the press, 2022 stands out from the crowd! The weather that year was ideal for creating beautifully ripe grapes. And this also helped Château Suduiraut’s grapes to become perfectly botrytised.
