Instagram contest: win a bottle of Sassicaia 2014!

sassicaia

Given the huge success of our Foire aux vins, we’ve decided to give away a bottle of the fantastic Sassicaia 2014. A “Super-Tuscan”, up for grabs on Instagram.

If you’re a big fan of mythical cuvées, why not try to win the legendary “super-Tuscan” wine, which contributed to the worldwide success of Tuscan wines, and, more specifically, that of the Côte Toscane. You guessed it, we’re giving you the chance to win a bottle of the world-famous Sassicaia 2014 from Tenuta del Guido.

For those who didn’t yet know, Sassicaia was of the first super Tuscans in the 1960s. It’s produced with the Bordeaux blend which is vinified in a completely different way. In reality, its history goes back to the 1940s, when the owner of Tenuta San Guido, the Marquis Mario Inciso della Rochetta decided to import French grape varieties such as Cabernet Francs and Sauvignon from cuttings from Château Lafite-Rothschild. Commercialised from 1968, the wine was an immediate success and its style was soon after copied by other winemakers.

Are you feeling tempted? There’s not a second to lose!
