It’s now an iDealwine tradition – as the spring arrives and the days get brighter, we set ourselves the challenge of putting together all the information we’ve collected from the previous year about the market of fine wine auctions. This is a comprehensive document, made with passion and checked rigorously, a precious item for wine lovers who wish to manage their cellars as best they can. The 2020 edition of the Barometer has the great plus of taking into account 20 whole years of data, a timespan that allowed us to place all of the market trends we have observed in a much larger context.
What is included in the publication?
This 130-page publication is a gold mine. It includes key figures from our auctions, a summary of the most important happenings in the wine world during 2019, an analysis of the overall market trends seen across the year as well as across the last 20 years. This means taking into consideration contextual factors such as changing consumer habits, a new generation of younger wine lovers, the rise of Asia in the wine market, and the development of wine making regions.
