Fine Spirits Auction #2 2023: A special Collection

This past week has seen the launch of a new Fine Spirits Auction. It’s overflowing with extremely rare bottles, the majority of which come from a private collection.

Scotland

Many exquisite, rare bottles of Scottish whisky can be found in the second FSA of the year. Several bottles of Ardbeg feature including bottles distilled in the 1970s under Hiram Walker as well as more recent limited editions such as Alligator, Perpetuum and Galileo.

Others whiskies include:

  • Port Ellen
  • Macallan
  • Springbank
  • Berry Bros. & Rudd
  • Douglas Laing
  • Jean Boyer
  • Signatory Vintage
  • Cadenhead

Japan

Japan is another great whisky producing county and we have two exceptional bottles we’d like to draw your attention to. The first is a Yamazaki 1986 which was aged in a mizunara, a famous Japanese oak, barrel and the second is a Yamazaki 1995 which was aged in a sherry barrel.

Chartreuses

A rich selection of green and yellow Chartreuses is also included in the auction, with V.E.P. (Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé –exceptionally long ageing in English) and “Reines des Liqueurs” appearing in different vintages. The Reine des Liqueurs is a blend of different liqueurs carefully selected by the Carthusian monks made in the style of yellow Chartreuse from the 19th century.

Rums

And finally, the auction contains a beautiful selection of Velier by Luca Gargano, with several bottlings of Caroni and Foursquare, as well as different agricultural rums: Bally, Trois Rivière, La Favorite and Saint James.
