In aid of the Burgundy School of Business Foundation in Dijon, this charity auction features 86 lots donated by the winemakers themselves. Boasting mainly large formats and with impeccable provenance – direct from the cellars of their producers, this charity auction is sure to be high in demand! The proceeds raised (including the buyer’s fees excluding tax) will go to the BSB Foundation to support their students and initiatives which follow its three pillars of excellence, equality and entrepreneurship. Will we see you taking part?
The BSB Foundation
BSB stands for Burgundy School of Business. It can trace its roots back to 1899 when the school was set up to respond to the growing needs of the local industry and Dijon was chosen for its importance in the world of wine and the local wine trading businesses. It only took 20 years for it to gain the reputation as one of France’s best business schools. In 1986, it joined the higher education conference and two years later, launched a masters programme specialising in International Business for Wine and Spirits. In 2012, the school founded the School of Wine & Spirits Business which has gained a global reputation. Today, the Burgundy School of Business has three campuses in Dijon, Paris and Lyon and a network of international partner universities. It doesn’t stop developing and continues to be a major player in education and research in the world of wine.
The BSB Foundation was also founded in 2014 to accompany the school’s development and upholding the following three pillars:
- Excellence – to continue helping BSB to shine. Key words are pedagogic innovation, academic excellence, applied research and an international standing.
- Equality of chances – support students in need with scholarships and encourage student diversity.
- Entrepreneurship – encourage an entrepreneurial outlook during student’s academic courses and their volunteer work at BSB.

Testimonies from those who have been supported by the foundation
“Through The Roots Fund and the BSB Foundation, I have immersed myself not only in French culture but have also learned about the deep history and legacy of wine within Burgundy and beyond. I have learned so much about the wine and spirits industry through my curriculum and peers.”
Mackey Deveraux
“I have chosen BSB to deepen my knowledge of the wine and spirits industry, fully aware that I am embarking on a challenging yet enriching journey towards personal and professional growth. I have long been striving for this opportunity, and the BSB Foundation enabled me to finally attain it. I am truly grateful for this exceptional chance and the indispensable support provided to me. I am committed to making the most of my experience here at BSB. The foundation has given me the decisive incentive to embark on this journey, and this gratitude will endure as I become an active and loyal ambassador for the wonderful environment that is BSB.”
Francesco Pizza
“I really appreciate the BSB foundation support, the 12.5% scholarship helped me to afford my flights, and therefore count with this resource for my living expenses.”
Teresa Sandoval
“I dreamt of pursuing the BSB Wine and Spirits MBA from the moment I discovered it five years ago while visiting Dijon. Wine is my passion, and I was (and am) eager to expand my knowledge on the subject and pivot my career internationally. However, as I am early in my career, I thought I would need to continue working for multiple years before enrolling in the program would be financially feasible. Receiving a grant from the BSB Foundation made my dream a reality for me this year. I would not be here without your support, and I do not have words sufficient to express how grateful I am.”
