New additions | Vintages of the century

In this sale, you’ll find some of your all-time favourites in their finest vintages: 1989 Latour and Lascombes, 1990 Ausone, 2009 Le Bourg from Clos Rougeard, as well as Ganevat, Lafite-Rothschild, and Cristal by Roederer.

From Bordeaux, there are some wonderful reference bottles awaiting, starting with the 1995 Château Palmer, a lot of 12 bottles sure to make you the subject of envy. The 1989 vintage is also available in the form of a lot of 12 from Lascombes, something to stock your cellar with! Lafite-Rothschild of course makes an appearance, with a lot of two bottles in the 1999 vintage. Vintages ending in 9 have certainly brought some good luck in this sale! And as we keep saying, there are also plenty of Bordeaux bottles at more attainable prices. The 2005 from Château les Justices is just one example.

A little tour of Burgundy never does any harm. There are several lots of Corton Grand Cru Château Corton Grancey from Maison Louis Latour waiting, a truly exceptional wine. Gevrey-Chambertin and Pernand-Vergelesses are just a few miles away, so which one takes your fancy? A little further on, in Chablis, we have Domaine Patrick Piuze, whose lots of Valmur grand cru from 2010 are more than tempting.

From Champagne, the great Louis Roederer offers his Cristal cuvée, produced only in the finest vintage years, when the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are judged superb enough for those who so enjoy these bottles (as they were enjoyed by Tsar Alexander II, for whom this cuvée was originally created!). It’s the 2008 vintage that finds itself in the spotlight here, a great year in Champagne. A bottle of the famous Dom Pérignon is also up for grabs in the same vintage.

Moving to the east towards the Jura, where Jean-François Ganevat has reserved his best bottle for us, the 2005 cuvée du Pépé. Similarly, have you yet had the chance to try the Côtes du Jura from Château d’Arlay? You can get it here in its 2010 vintage, a delicate, fruity and intense wine.

From Provence, the Trévallon domain led by Floriane and Eloi Durrbach has several lots of IGP Alpilles from 2009 available, a regional reference made from Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Let’s head to the Loire valley, where we’ll let you appreciate these lots from Clos Rougeard: there are three bottles of 2009 Saumur-Champigny Le Bourg, and three bottles of Saumur Brézé from the same vintage. The famous Nicolas Joly also makes an appearance with a 1995 Savannières from la Coulée de Serrant, an exceptional vintage for white wine.

From the Rhône Valley, the north offers a 1996 Côte-Rôtie Brune et Blonde from Guigal that will delight your palate. From the south, Domaine Pierre Usseglio offers his 2009 Cuvée de mon Aieul in bottle, magnum and jeroboam format.
