iDealwine launched an exceptional sale of over 600 bottles of Château d’Yquem ranging from 1982 to 2008. Prices are competitive and start from €180. This 100% Yquem sale will enable customers to buy the bottles at a fixed price instead of bidding in an auction. This type of sale, focusing on one single producer is the first of its kind on iDealwine.

Yquem iDealwine

The sale lasts from 7th to 21st October and will please fine wine connoisseurs and collectors who will get access to a rare choice of vintages of one of the most sought after wines. It took some time to iDealwine’s wine expert team to put it together. They have been selecting the bottles from the finest cellars and most bottles have never moved since their En Primeur acquisition. The collection displays 660 bottles and more than 20 vintages from 1982 to 2008 including some mythical years for Sauternes such as 1989, 1990, 1995, 1996, the fantastic 2001, as well as 2003, 2005 or 2007.

iDealwine decided to offer the wines at affordable prices despite the obvious demand and interest in the collection. About 300 bottles are offered below €200. Here are a few examples below:

Château d’Yquem 1998: €180
Château d’Yquem 1995: €190 (compared to iDealwine’s price estimate of €216)
Château d’Yquem 1996: €205
Château d’Yquem 2008: €182 (compared to iDealwine’s price estimate of €215)

Being such a special wine, Château d’Yquem was the only estate to have a dedicated category, ”Premier Cru Supérieur” in the Bordeaux classification of 1855. It is considered by many wine experts as the world’s finest white wine. “Liquid gold”,”light in a bottle” are some of the expressions used by the writer Frédéric Dard to describe this mythical wine whose ageing potential remains unrivalled. Indeed, Yquem can be enjoyed at any stage of its life: when young, it displays intense fruity aromas and a stunning freshness and after 20, 30, 40 years or more, it evolves beautifully, gaining a unique complexity and finesse.
