This week, many of our new arrivals come in particularly generous formats! We’ve got a magnum of 2017 Clos-de-la-Roche from Domaine Ponsot, a double-magnum of 2019 Hermitage La Chapelle from Paul Jaboulet Ainé… The new releases from iDealwine’s cellar are bound to please!
Burgundian greatness
Rediscover all the grandeur of Burgundy wines by adding a magnum of Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes 2017 from Domaine Ponsot to your personal collection. Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy also unveils two impressive magnums: the 2018 Mazis-Chambertin and the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint Jacques! If you want to get your hands on smaller bottles, why not go for a Charmes-Chambertin 2019 or a Mayozères-Chambertin 2019 from Domaine Arnaud Mortet? Or perhaps you’d prefer a bottle of the very famous Clos de Vougeot, available here in the 2019 vintage, one that we advise you to keep precious care of.
Red wine from Champagne?
The Champagne region is known for its bubbles… but this isn’t all it has! We recommend Bollinger’s still cuvée, La Côte Aux Enfants 2013, a surprising red, slightly spicy, that you will find in classic bottles as well as in magnums! More what you might expect from the region, the famous Champagne house proposes the Bollinger B 2013 to store in your cellar in time for the festivities. You can also enjoy the effervescence of this inimitable region with a cuvée from Pierre Péters.
Majestic Rhone terraces
This week, iDealwine’s cellar was filled with a beautiful mix of Rhône vintages from Paul Jaboulet Ainé. Featuring the Hermitage appellation, with a double magnum of La Maison Bleue 2019 as well as a cuvée La Chapelle 2019. You can also get a 2019 Crozes-Hermitage from the Domaine de Thalabert, owned by the same house. Not enough room to keep these great bottles in your cellar? Don’t worry, more traditional formats of the same vintages are also available!
Non-French vintages at the top
Can’t get enough of the vibrant character of German Rieslings and want to convince your friends? Then try a magnum of Graacher Domprobst Spätlese 2020 from the Willi Schaefer estate!
If you’re interested in reds, don’t miss out on some beautiful Italian wines either. The Giulia Negri estate is undoubtedly one of the stars of this selection, with a 2015 Barolo, a 2016 Serradenari and the 2017 La Tartufaia vintage! Greece also spoils us with a magnum of Tetramythos 2016 from the Tetramythos estate, straight from the Peloponnese.
Enjoy 😉
