Fine Spirits Auction

For this next Fine Spirits Auction sale, over 900 bottles illustrate the rich and diverse heritage of fine spirits. From distilleries that have since closed their doors to the most coveted bottlings, this selection promises to satisfy discerning enthusiasts and rarity hunters.

Japan opens the ball with a particularly impressive series around Karuizawa. Among the most anticipated lots are a 1970 Karuizawa bottled by Number One Drinks, several Noh editions from the 1980s as well as a Karuizawa Artifices. Each bottle recalls the exceptional status that this distillery has acquired since its closure in 2000.

Scotland then brings some of its greatest names. Macallan occupies a prime spot with a series spanning several decades: the legendary vintages of 1955 and 1966, a 1965 Crystal Decanter, the highly regarded 18 years old Gran Reserva from 1971, 1972 and 1979 as well as Reflexion. Alongside them, several closed distilleries enrich the auction such as 1969 Kinclaith, Ladyburn 41 years, Brora in its 35 and 38 years versions, and a 1982 Port Ellen. Islay enthusiasts will also find old bottlings of Bowmore, Ardbeg, and Laphroaig.

Independent bottlings also take pride of place in this catalogue. Glen Grant  stands out through several rare expressions signed by Gordon & MacPhail and La Maison du Whisky, while Glenfarclas, Glenlivet, Glen Dronach, Glenfiddich, and Rosebank testify to the full range of Scottish whisky.

The great collection of rums are present with the same ambition. Velier dominates with several exceptional Caroni, including the legendary Full Proof and Stock of Barrels. The historic Demerara is also highly present: Port Mourant, Uitvlugt, Enmore, Diamond, and a remarkable Demerara 1974 Silver Seal. The French Antilles respond with emblematic bottlings from Neisson, La Favorite, and J.M.

France is also present. Chartreuse enthusiasts will notably find a rare Tarragona Green, a VEP Green bottling 1968 Olympique, 2003 Épiscopale as well as the edition 2016 Une Chartreuse. Cognac and Armagnac complete this panorama with an exceptional 1906 Cognac Grande Champagne Prunier, a 1925 Armagnac Jean Cavé and the always sought-after Hennessy Paradis.

From the Grande Champagne to the Highlands, from Islay to the Caribbean, from Karuizawa to Caroni, this auction brings together rare witnesses to the history of spirits. An invitation to explore several generations of savoir-faire through some of the most significant bottlings of their era.

Happy bidding everyone!
