iDealwine is 2025’s leading wine auctioneer

Despite a macro-economic landscape characterised by a distinct slowdown in the wine auction market, iDealwine’s virtual hammer fell 52 times during 2025, which also included a Private Collection, which had an estimated value of at least €250,000. In 2025, 297,654 bottles – the equivalent of 309,924 standard bottles when 750ml) were sold on iDealwine, achieving a remarkable turnover of €42.8 million (including fees). 28 collector’s catalogues (a collection of wine worth more than €100,000) were consigned with iDealwine when discerning enthusiasts decided to part with significant amounts of their collection.

For the 12th year running, IWA-iDealwine retains the top spot among all auction houses in France. The French Auction Council’s report also highlights iDealwine’s overall standing in the auction sector in France, despite the ‘niche’ nature of the wine auction market, writing that IWA-iDealwine secured 17^th place in the overall rankings of French  auction houses (all categories combined) and 8th place among the Art and Collectables auction houses, a ranking in which it is the only house specialising in a single product – and what a product!

“IWA-iDealwine continued to expand its customer base in 2025. Enthusiasts are now placing bids from 67 countries, notably through the new version of our app, which is more fluid and user-friendly,” says Cyrille Jomand, CEO of iDealwine. “The group continues to grow, with a Spanish version of the iDealwine website set to go live shortly; the site is already available in French, English, German and Italian.”
