¡Salud! iDealwine launches its Spanish website

the Spanish website is lauched

We’ve been keeping a secret this past year as we’ve been working on translating the iDealwine website into Spanish and we’re thrilled to finally be able to share it with you! If you’ve been around here a while, you’ll know that we want to give our customers the best experience possible, which includes shopping in their language – or one they’re comfortable using.

A year of hard work – and it’s not over yet

Once the dust had settled after translating our website into German and Italian and opening delivery to several new countries, we started to think about what’s next… And it was a no-brainer to translate the website into Spanish, after all Spain is a well-established market for us.

So just over a year ago, we set about planning just how we would go about adding a fifth language to the website. Once the plan was drawn up, it was time to roll the sleeves up and get to work. And the result is the website you see today. 😀 We cannot describe how it feels to see the website in Spanish! And so much more content will be added in the weeks to come so stay tuned!

Spain has been part of the iDealwine story for years

Although the Spanish-language website is new, our relationship with Spain certainly is not. We have been delivering wine to Spain for 20 years now, and we have watched a brilliant community of Spanish wine lovers grow along the way.

Until now, many of our Spanish customers have browsed and bid in French or English. We wanted to change that and make the iDealwine experience feel more welcoming, more straightforward and, most importantly, more theirs.

“Spain has been one of our fastest-growing markets over the past 20 years, and it was high time our website spoke back to that community in its own language,” says Cyrille Jomand, auctioneer, co-founder and CEO of iDealwine.

“We are delighted to have invested in this new version of our website, and we are looking forward to being accessible to the wider Spanish wine community, as well as continuing to build on relationships with our existing clients, formed over two decades. It is a natural and, frankly, overdue step for us.”

Spanish wine is having a moment

There is plenty to celebrate in the world of Spanish wine. Demand for Spanish bottles is growing quickly on the secondary market, as collectors discover the depth, variety and ageing potential of the country’s vineyards.

According to iDealwine’s annual Barometer, auction sales of Spanish wines increased by 19% in volume and 27% in value in 2025, compared with the previous year. Even with interest on the rise, Spanish wines remain relatively accessible, averaging around €84 per bottle at auction, compared with €137 across all wine regions.

Spanish collectors also have impressively broad tastes. Bordeaux accounts for almost half of iDealwine’s wine sales to Spain, with Petrus, Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Cheval Blanc, Château Haut-Brion and Château Latour among the most popular names.

But it is not all about French wine. Spanish buyers also won bids for bottles from estates including Dominio del Águila, Bodegas Roda and Pior Terrae in 2025. A love of wine clearly knows no borders.
