There’s nothing like an auction to complete your cellar at the end of the year. Whether you plan to open it with your family, keep it stashed away in your cellar or offer it as a gift, you all have a good reason to find THE bottle you’re after. And lucky you, iDealwine has got some great finds in stock, including cuvées from the private cellar of a dedicated wine lover, that we’ve grouped together in a private catalogue.
This week, plenty of Bordeaux icons have made it into our cellar. And yes, we keep saying it: no Bordeaux-bashing at iDealwine! 😉 Petrus is always a hit, so don’t miss the opportunity to buy a bottle of the 1983, 1999, 2000 and 2001 vintages. Big Pauillac names feature too, with both Latour and Mouton-Rothschild in their 2009 vintage. You can also get your hands on a few bottles of 2009 Château Margaux. Do you prefer Saint-Emilion? Then Château Cheval Blanc will hit the spot with its 2009, 2010 and 2017 vintages. There are many bottles from the private catalogue, which we’ve carefully selected just for you (read on to find out more)!
And it’s not because we love Bordeaux that we’ll neglect the brilliant Burgundy. How about a 2005 Bonne-Mares or a 2004 Chambolle-Musigny from Domaine d’Auvenay? The René Engel estate is also nicely featured, with several bottles of its 1990 Grands-Echézeaux. Leroy, a stalwart signature, offers us here a cuvée of Richebourg 2001 and Nuits-Saint-Georges 2004. (And we have a few other surprises in store for you, to be discovered on the site!)
Moving on to Champagne…To celebrate the end of year celebrations, you can bet on the Lieux Dits Collection case signed by the Jacques Selosse house. Do you like old vintage sparkling wines? Then you will be won over by numerous bottles of Krug in its 1990, 1995 and 1996 vintages, as well as a bottle of Billecart-Salmon 1989 or a Crystal by Louis Roederer dating from 1964.
The Rhône Valley has a strong presence here, as well. You will find the Hermitage La Chapelle 1990 from the Paul Jaboulet Ainé estate, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve des Célestins 1988 from Henri Bonneau & Fils and even some beautiful Rayas, in a variety of vintages. Would you like to start a collection of LA-LA-LA by Guigal? Now is your chance! Look for the 2015 La Mouline vintage, which could be your starting point for this dazzling and sought-after trio!
A special Bordeaux catalogue!
Some of these magnificent bottles come from a private cellar, carefully selected for the quality of the bottles and for the exceptional collection of Bordeaux wines inside. Our consignor, an unconditional fan of this classic region, offers us wines from the greatest châteaux that have accumulated over the years. Petrus? In the vintages we mentioned earlier. Lafite-Rothschild? In a 1983. La Mission Haut-Brion? The 1986 makes an appearance… I think you get the idea, this enthusiast has picked out the crème de la crème of Bordeaux. A few bottles from other regions are hidden in amongst this selection. We’ll give you some pointers: there’s a 1985 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Clos des Papes from Paul Avril (Rhône), a 1995 Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Alain Voge (Rhône), and a 1973 Arbois from Domaine Rolet (Jura).
Hard to believe, but this list is just a small selection of the wonderful bottles on sale this week. So don’t waste any time and… get bidding!
