Parker’s 100-point wines, plus Burgundian and Rhône superstars

OL 27052019

iDealwine auctions are always of the highest quality. But every now and then, the wines on offer reach such heights that even we can’t quite believe our eyes. This auction undoubtedly fits into this category. Stay tuned: this promises to be memorable.

In Bordeaux, just as Robert Parker formally retires, we suggest you take a look at the Wine Advocate’s top scoring wines – those prized 100-point wines – such as Petrus 2010 and 2015, Lafite Rothschild 2003, Margaux 2000, Château Montrose 1990 and 2009 or Pavie 2000. You’ll also find other great classics, such as crus classés from the right and left bank and the finest Crus Bourgeois. The auctions include a rare Château Lafite-Rothschild 1962 and several large formats, including a Jéroboam of Château Ducru Beaucaillou 1970 or Haut-Marbuzet 1979.

In Burgundy, you’ll find a superb collection of mature wines from domain Leroy, such as a Musigny 1998, a Chambertin 1996 or 1998, a Richebourg 1996 or 1999 or a Romanée Saint Vivant 1998 and Clos de la Roche 1999. There are several lots of Coche-Dury (Corton-Charlemagne 2001), domain Faiveley (Musigny 2000), Armand Rousseau (Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Clos Saint-Jacques 2005) and of course Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (Romanée Saint Vivant 2002). Many more of the region’s biggest names feature, including: Bonneau du Martray, Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, Comte Liger-Belair, Jacques Prieur, Anne Gros, Dugat-Py.

Our Rhône catalogue has all that a wine lover could possibly dream of, beginning with the mythical, incredibly rare cuvée Cathelin 2000 from Jean-Louis Chave. Fans of Emmanuel Reynaud’s style of winemaking will be overjoyed to see a vertical of Rayas, with 1990, 1995, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Château Rayas’ satellite domains, Fonsalette and Château des Tours, also feature, as well as Chave’s Hermitage, Gonon’s Saint-Joseph, Auguste Clape’s Cornas and Jamet’s Côte-Rôtie…

Parallel to these three major regions, gems from all over France are to be unearthed… In the Loire, you’ll choose between Edmond Vatan’s Sancerre Clos la Néore, Stéphane Bernaudeau’s Les Nourrisons, wines from Richard Leroy and Clos Rougeard. In the Jura, take your pick between Pierre Overnoy, Ganevat and Jean Macle…

Happy bidding!
