NEW AUCTION: Treasures and rarities: 2,500 prime lots | Closes 23rd-24th May

AUCTIONOver 2,500 prime lots from the finest vineyards come together in this latest auction. Don’t miss this extraordinary assembly of breath taking bottles…

With three auctions now taking place a month, we’re continuing our rhythm with gusto. This latest auction is studded with elusive bottles for your cellar, read on to explore some of the highlights in this catalogue.

Let us commence with Bordeaux, where you’ll find the most sought-after bottles in landmark vintages. The grands crus classés are well represented here: Petrus, Haut-Brion (1986), Cheval-Blanc (1998) and Château Margaux (1983, 1986, 1990, 1995). You could also be the owner of the new limited-edition Château Margaux bottle in the 2015 vintage. Commissioned by estate owner Corinne Mentzelopoulos in honour of the château’s former MD Paul Pontallier, this bottle marks his last vintage before passing away. The magnificent Château Latour is also present in a range of vintages from 1982 to 1995, complimented by a dozen rare bottles of the Château Latour 1961. Stars also come in the form of Château d’Yquem (1985 to 2009), Lafite-Rothschild (1962, 1992), Cos d’Estournel (1987 to 2007) and Château Mouton-Rothschild (1962 to 1999). Larges formats are standard throughout with an imperial of Yquem 1985, a salmanazar of Château Léoville Barton 2011 and a nabuchodonozor of Château Pibran 2010.

A stunning collection from Burgundy also features in this auction, including a Musigny 1966 from Faively, the prestigious Montrachets from Ramonet (1985, 1995, 2009) and the sumptuous Meursault 2009 from Armand Ente. Many bottles come with a reserve price of less than €100, meaning you could pick up a magnificent Volnay 2012 and a Corton from Domaine de la Pousse d’Or or two Pommards from Domaine Comte Armand in the 1990 and 2009 vintage at a savvy price. Eight bottles of Gevrey-Chambertin in the most recent vintages from Bruno Clair are also up for auction, not to mention some Echézeaux from Domaine Christian Clerget. In the whites you’ll find Puligny-Montrachet from Etienne Sauzet and Chablis from Dauvissat.

The selection from the Rhône brings together the most coveted names, from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape of Rayas in the 2009 vintage to that of Henri Bonneau & Fils in the 2011. From the northern Rhône you’ll find the legendary Côte-Rôtie from Guigal and Hermitage from Jean-Louis Chave.

The Loire Valley features the rare Vouvray from Domaine Huet in the ancestral 1921 vintage, some offerings from the cult Clos Rougeard (1995 to 2001) and some cuvées from Domaine Dagueneau.

Amongst the other regions the Languedoc boasts 50 lots from Domaine La Grange des Pères while from Champagne all the finest houses are represented (Ruinart, Krug, Perrier Jouët, Taittinger…).

A final flourish comes courtesy of the selection from beyond the French vineyard. We are honoured to present the famous Tuscan cuvée Masseto 2010, a 100% Merlot from la Tenuta dell’Ornellaia.

This auction will close on the 23rd and 24th of May.

Happy bidding!
