You will have no doubt noticed that the iDealwine La Cave is a true goldmine. To satisfy your unquenchable curiosity, fellow oenophiles, we are always on the lookout for exciting new finds. Here we present you with the latest additions!
The 2016 en primeur has finally been bottled and is ready to be snapped up. Whether it’s a Canon Pecresse – a superb signature from the Right Bank –, a Château Taillan – a fruity, supple and elegant Cru Bourgeois, or Clos Puy Arnaud, the biodynamic signature in the Côtes de Castillon appellation, these wines will be drinking wonderfully after some years aging in your cellar. Be warned: Clos Puy Arnaud is without contest one of the Bordeaux domains that has attracted the most enthusiasm from the iDealwine team these past few years, and could be snapped up before long…
We’re very happy to see Domaine Sylvain Pataille’s wines back in our Cave. One of our most recent allocations, their cuvées – marked by their freshness and elegance – are coveted by the entire team. Or why not take home a 2016 Premier Cru or Grand Cru from the prestigious Maison Louis Jadot; with cuvées covering a wide price range, there is certainly something for everyone. Chiselled like diamonds, the Chablis from Domaine Verget are a … In fact, behind the man behind this domain is the brilliant vinifier Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen, who is quite simply a master of the art of Chardonnay, with whom iDealwine has been working for over 10 years.
In the Rhone valley, we’ve added new vintages (2016 and 2017) from Domaine Stéphane Ogier and Domaine Gerin, including one of his signature cuvées from “La Landonne” in Côte-Rôtie, an absolutely exceptional terroir. In the south, Isabel Ferrando of Domaine Saint Préfert produces Châteauneuf du Pape made for aging, available in this sale in the 2016 vintage.
In the Loire valley, you will find the 2017 cuvées from Domaine Boulay, who have been cultivating vines in Chavignol since 1310, and whose wines are a pure, faithful expression of these terroirs. Don’t let Vincent Carême’s 2016 and 2017 vintages pass you by, one of the finest signatures in Vouvray, who gained organic certification in 2007. Not forgetting Château Soucherie, in the appellations of Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon and Chaume.
In the Terrasses du Larzac appellation, two domains have recently caught our attention. Mas Conscience, whose wines we have for sale for the first time on iDealwine, and Les Vignes Oubliées, the brainchild of two excellent winemakers, whose 2016 cuvées are available on iDealwine here.
iDealwine also offers an excellent range of spirits, to which there have been some exciting recent additions. Let yourself be transported to the Highlands with our selection of Scottish whiskies, such as the Glenrothes, Ben Nevis and The Macallan. You will also find some Japanese whiskies, for instance those from houses Ichiro and Nikka, and the Taiwanese Kavalan.
