Mature vintages | New additions to our fixed-price selection

rivesaltes 19022019

In amongst these 2,000 new lots, you will find a baffling array of excellent vintages. Lovers of Bordeaux will be happy to see names such as  Château Troplong-Mondot and Pagodes de Cos in the exceptional 2009 vintage. In Bordeaux, September 2009 provided the perfect conditions for a good harvest as it was sunny and dry. The wines are thus concentrated and suited for very long aging, and perhaps more importantly, the balance between alcohol and acidity is ideal. 2009 was, what’s more, a great year for dessert wines, of which in our new arrivals you will find: Château Climens, Château la Tour Blanche, Château de Fargues

Burgundy enthusiasts, fear not – we haven’t forgotten about you! Domain Dugat-Py is a particular highlight and a true expression of Gevrey; we recommend the domain’s Gevrey Chambertin 2006, Pommard La Levrière 2004 and La Levrière Vieilles Vignes 2003. Other Burgundian gems include a horizontal of 1992 Jacques Prieur (Chambertin, Musigny, Clos de Vougeot) and another from Montille in the 2005 vintage (Pommard Les Grands Epenots, Volnay Les Malconsorts, Vosne-Romanée Mitans).

Fans of naturally sweet wines (VDN) will be pleased to see several old Rivesaltes added to our selection. Our speciality at iDealwine, these wines, with their intense, complex bouquet (notes of prune, coffee, walnut) and amber robe, are the ideal accompaniment to blue cheese and walnut cakes. Don’t miss out on the new Ports, Banyuls and Maury have also been added to the selection.
