Mature vintages from 1935 to 2005 – an exceptional selection

Thanks to iDealwine, there is no need to patiently wait for your best bottles to reach their full potential in your cellar. This Mature Vintage sale offers an outstanding range of wines aged 10 years and more – sometimes much more – ready to enjoy now.

Mature Vintage

Do you love wines with aromas of leather, tobacco and earthy notes? Do you adore silky and luxuriously soft tannins? Are you planning a birthday or special event that requires wine from a particular vintage? This Mature Vintage sale offers a top selection from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, as well as other French and international regions, ranging from 2005 to 1935.

As you would expect, this sale includes a vast collection from Bordeaux, where the beautiful châteaux are numerous and their wines particularly fit for long-term ageing. Lovers of Sauternes will be spoiled with a truly interesting choice that covers the full range, from prestigious bottles (Yquem, Climens) to those offering great value for money (Nairac, Guiraud, Rieussec, Doisy-Védrines), with vintages ranging between 1983 and 2005.

In red we offer a selection from the top châteaux (Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Lafite Rothschild, Haut-Brion, Petrus, Ausone, Cheval Blanc, Angélus, Léoville Las Cases), but also excellent affordable wines (Léoville Barton, Pichon Longueville Baron and Pichon Longueville Comtesse, Ducru Beaucaillou, Montrose, Pavie, La Dominique, Smith Haut-Lafitte), as well as good deals from less famous domaines in great vintages.

In Burgundy, don’t miss out on the many mature and rare wines from domaine Trapet of the 1990s or a 2000 Corton from Louis Latour, the latter at a very agreeable price! In the Rhône Valley, it is mainly from Châteauneuf-du-Pape that you will find some incredible bottles, often from great vintages (Pierre Usseglio, La Janasse, La Vieille Jullienne, Marcoux, Roger Sabon, and Giraud). Not to mention the rare methuselah Hermitage from Chapoutier or, at the other end of the price spectrum, the excellent Côtes-du-Rhône of Guigal in an exceptional vintage (2005).

From other French regions, this sale primarily features beautiful vintage Champagnes (Drapier, Françoise Bedel, Pol Roger, Deutz) – some from the very top vintages, like Les Enchanteleurs 1998 of Henriot, Minéral 2004 of Agrapart, Dizy Corne Beautray 2004 of Jacquesson, Blanc des Millénaires 1995 from Charles Heidsieck and a Cristal Roederer 1999.

In Languedoc and Roussillon you will find bottles of Daumas Gassac, Aurelles and especially an amazing selection of old – or even very old – Banyuls and Rivesaltes (from 1935). And finally, this sale includes a varied range from the rest of the world: South Africa, United States, Italy, Spain and Portugal, with some truly great wines from each of these countries.

This sale may look a little like one of our Online Auctions, but it is indeed a Fixed-Price Sale – and a very special one at that. First come, first served – the best wines will sell fast! Don’t miss out…
