iDealwine regularly gives you the chance to buy, at fixed-prices, a selection of great wines ready to drink. The grail for all those who want to enjoy a great wine in its full maturity, with smoothened tannins and aromas that become more complex with time, but also a joy for wine lovers in a hurry, or who don’t have a cellar to age these precious bottles.
In Bordeaux, the selection is EXCEPTIONAL! The vintages range from 1947 to 2005 and the formats from half-bottle, jeroboam (Château Lafite Rothschild 1964), double-magnum (Château Rieussec 2005) to imperial (Château Haut-Brion 1978). Discover all the best classified wines from Bordeaux banks, in a very wide range of vintages. Among the oldest, you will find Haut-Brion 1947, Château Latour 1959, Pressac 1960, Château Margaux 1961, Lafite Rothschild and Brane Cantenac 1964 and Pavie, Léoville Las Cases, Mouton Rothschild 1982. Generous quantities (lots of 6 and 12) will enable you to restore the stocks of your cellar. Even with smaller budgets, you will be able to acquire old vintages: Sainte-Croix du Mont, Château du Pavillon 2002, at €4, or Château Tour Haut-Caussan 1995 at €20 for instance!
In Burgundy, as usual, a very sharp and eclectic selection, ranging from 1955 to 2005. Among the most beautiful lots, you will find Musigny 2005 from Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, Domaine Georges Roumier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses 2001, or even Mommessin Clos-De-Tart 2001. If you prefer Chardonnay, you will love Domaine Ramonet Montrachet 1995, the great whites from Domaines Leflaive (Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles 2001, Bâtard-Montrachet 1986, Montrachet 1984), Domaine Coche-Dury Meursault.
Vintage Champagnes have the place of honour: Pol Roger Winston Churchill 1986, Louis Roederer Cristal 1985, Deutz 1988, Salon S 1995, Krug Vintage 1990. But also specific bottles, that we love, from Jacquesson, Bérêche or Françoise Bedel.
In Alsace, this sale is the opportunity to find beautiful sweet wines, made from Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer or Riesling, late harvest or selection of noble grains. In the Jura, Vin Jaune lovers will enjoy those from Château d’Arlay. In the Rhone, you will appreciate the Châteauneuf, the Cornas, the Côte-Rôtie and Hermitages ready to drink. In the Loire valley you will find Saumur-Champigny from Clos Rougeard in the vintages of the 2000s. In the Southwest, Madiran offers excellent value for money and a very affordable way to access old vintages. In Languedoc, go for a bottle from La Grange des Pères or one of the cuvées from Peyre Rose. Roussillon offers the oldest wines of this sale thanks to the fortified wines in many vintages, going back to 1874. In Provence, the Bandols of the years 2000s should delight the lovers of these wines of character, that age beautifully.
Finally, succumb for mature wines from out of France with Opus One 1995, Abreu 1997, or Château Musar 1966.
We wish you a pleasant shopping!
