Fixed-price sale: French icons

Do you want to taste the exceptional, la crème de la crème? This latest fixed-price sale is all about the super stars of the wine world and brings together thirty of the finest signatures from the French vineyard in cracking vintages. Packed with veritable icons, you’re sure to find the next gems to store away in your cellar until the next grand occasion.

A first-class domain and a grandiose vintage. These are the two criteria for a Bordeaux to be considered iconic. We’ve crafted a selection of the finest signatures in the 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2015 vintages, the four most beautiful years Bordeaux has witnessed since 2000, not to mention a few legendary old vintages too. You’ll find all those magical bottles graced with the top scores from reputed international wine critics. Some of the Bordeaux icons present in this sale include Petrus 1975 (98+/100 from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate), 1986 (92/100 WA), 2000 (100/100 WA), Mouton Rothschild, also present in these vintages as well as the magnificent 1982 (100/100 WA), Margaux, with the prime 1990 vintage (100/100 WA), Lafite Rothschild, Haut-Brion and Latour. Another veritable icon comes in the form of Château Montrose, especially in the 1990 vintage. From the right bank, and still on the theme of grand vintages, we propose Cheval Blanc, Angélus, Pavie and the ultra-rare Le Pin (a minute property of just 2 hectares), including a 1990 Cheval Blanc and a 2000 Pavie and even Tertre Roteboeuf. Remember that Château Tertre Roteboeuf is rather unique in the sense that it only produces a single wine. As for Sauternes, we offer you the finest bottles in the best vintages this AOC has ever seen: Yquem 2001 but also Château Climens 2010.

In Burgundy, we’ve chosen bottles from the most legendary producers in, of course, Burgundy’s best vintages: 2006, 2005, 2003, 2000, 1999 and 1995. One of the most mythic wines to feature in this fixed-price sale has to be the Richebourg 2003 from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, only 7,000 bottles of this iconic wine are produced a year! Next, there is the Echézeaux 2006 from Dujac, the Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Cos Saint-Jacques 2006 from Armand Rousseau and the Nuits Saint-Georges Premier Cru Clos Saint-Georges 1995 from Henri Gouges. If you’re after white, you have the choice between the Montrachet 1995 and the Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet or the Bâtard-Montrachet 1999 from Domaine Ramonet and the Chevalier-Montrachet 1999 or 2000 from Leflaive. Two of the finest Chablis are also present in this sale: the Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot 2000 and the Grand Cru Les Clos 1999 from Raveneau.

From the Rhône, you’ll find the best example from every appellation: Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin 1998 from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, La Landonne 2005, La Mouline 1999 and La Turque 2005 from Guigal in Côte-Rôtie but also La Sereine Noire 1998 from Gangloff, the new star from this appellation, the white Hermitage 1989 from Jean-Louis Chave and the Cornas 1998 and 1999 from Auguste Clape.
