With just over 450 cuvées to choose from, this fixed-price sale showcases red Burgundy in all its myriad forms. From the big name producers in the grandest appellations to the next big thing in the lesser known reaches, this sale has it all…
A red Burgundy sale is always a grand occasion, especially when 2015 and 2016 vintages are involved. This fixed-price sale brings together the most iconic wines of this region as well as some exciting new contenders. Let’s take a look at what we’ve sourced from our partner domains…
What’s new in the iDealwine catalogue
One of the first things you’ll notice is the long-awaited arrival of the 2015 and 2016 vintages sourced direct by us from the best domains such as that of Marquis d’Angerville (Volnay), Bruno Clavelier (Côte de Nuits), Domaine des Croix (Côte de Beaune), Château de Chamirey (Mercurey) and Nicolas Maillet (Mâconnais). From Louis Latour we have their Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Echézeaux offerings.
It doesn’t stop there, iDealwine is always on the hunt for new bottles to enrich our catalogue: at the moment we are particularly excited by the wines coming out of Domaine Folin-Arbelet. Keep an eye out on our blog for more news about this fantastic producer and his organic, laissez-faire approach to winemaking. His wines are fruit forward, soft yet intense and with good concentration and texture. We are delighted to include his 2014 and 2015 wines in our catalogue.
Red Burgundy: the essentials
Who hasn’t dreamed of adding a Veilles Vignes Clos-de-la-Roche from Domaine Ponsot to their cellar? Let alone a Clos-de-Tart or a Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Malconsorts from Domaine de Montille? This sale gives you the chance to make these dreams a reality. Dugat-Py, Geantet-Pansiot, Jayer-Gilles, Méo-Camuzet, Mongeard-Mugneret, Domaine des Lambrays…all the biggest names are here. iDealwine prides itself on offering exceptional wines for every budget and you’ll find everything in this sale, from the big-name producers to the rising starts of Burgundy. For under €15, you can enjoy the excellent Mâcon-Verzé from Nicolas Maillet or, for a little more, an Irancy from Domaine Colinot, a Mercurey from Michel Juillot or even a Beaune from Domaine des Croix. The Côte de Beaune offers exceptional wines at great prices and helps debunk the myth that you can’t get good value in Burgundy.
