The selection features both very renowned champagne houses and more niche domains. On the one hand, savour famous champagnes such as the vinous and deep Bollinger, the elegant and creamy Taittinger, the much-loved Pol Roger, the blue-chip Deutz, the prestigious and fine Krug, the characterful Drappier and De Souse, the precise and pure Roederer, the fresh and low-dosed Ayala but also the great Ruinart, Henriot, Perrier Jouët, Besserat de Bellefon.
Niche domains show off what’s best from champagne. Starting with the great Agrapart, over which connoisseurs often fight, especially appreciated for its minerality, purity and saline notes. Selosse offers some of the most iconic and prestigious champagnes. Bérêche et Fils is also much sought-after and will give joy to lovers of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Discover terroir, deep and tasty champagnes with Laherte Frères. Far from classics, in a very different style, Bourgeois Diaz offers biodynamic champagnes, slightly vinous and quite fresh. Jacquesson displays more precise wines that will be appreciated by many different palates. Olivier Horiot has been seducing us for a long time and continues to with his gastronomical biodynamic champagnes. Also in biodynamics, Françoise Bedel et Fils, mainly made with Pinot Meunier, impresses connoisseurs for its purity, sapid and subtle oxidative notes. Jacques Lassaigne is a renowned domain from Côte des Bar producing more round and generous Blanc de blancs than those from Côte des Blancs. Marguet champagnes are distinctive because of their freshness, their iodic notes and strong identity. Cartogne Tailler is a booming domain from Montagne de Reims. Suenen offers nice plot-by-plot cuvées, which represent well their different terroirs. Finally, we think Jeaunaux-Robin is probably one of the best values for money from champagne. Other great niche domains are available like Larmandier-Bernier, Egly Ouriet, Francis Boulard, Pierre Moncuit, Vincent Couche.
This sale also gathers other sparkling cuvées. From Savoie, don’t miss the cuvée Ayse from Domaine Belluard, a wine from the very rare grape type Gringet and vinified with the traditional method, for a very fresh and light sparkling. Moreover, the cuvée Don Giachino from Domaine Giachino, a 100% Jacquère, is both fresh and vinous. From Provence, the Domaine Henri Milan produces also a natural Brut, without sulphur and made from Grenache. To finish, we were unable to resist to the ciders and pery from Eric Bordelet, which we absolutely love, especially one of our co-founders Angélique de Lencquesaing.
