Bordeaux’s Most Prestigious Bottles

Bordeaux’s most prestigious chateaux and estates are front and centre in this sale. First up, Premiers Grands Crus Classés (1855 Classification). Petrus is available in many of the finest vintages: 2000, 1990, 1989 and 1982. A superb 2000 Mouton Rothschild 2000 and Lafite Rothschild in several vintages will make many a collector very happy. Slightly further south and crossing to the Right Bank, are the exceptional wines of Saint-Emilion – this auction includes bottles from Château Cheval Blanc. There is 1918 Château-Margaux, a vintage that is known for producing powerful, dense, and highly tannic wine. This auction has more than red wine, with sweet Sauternes represented by the famous Château d’Yquem. For those on the lookout for multiple bottles, check out the following 12 bottle lots: 2010 and 2021 Château Haut Brion; 1996 and 2001 Château Latour: 1990 Château Montrose 1990; and 1990 Château Angélus.

Burgundy’s Biggest Names

For the lucky few whose cellar is bursting with Bordeaux, it might be time to look to Burgundy. For everyone else, we’re sure Burgundy is firmly on your radar! For Burgundy’s biggest fans, roll up your sleeves and get bidding on the following: from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, there is a 2010 Montrachet 2010, a 2002 Romanée Saint Vivant, as well as a 1999 La Tâche; from Domaine d’Auvenay and Leflaive, two of the most iconic names de Bourgogne, there is a 2003 Chevalier Montrachet and a 2021 Montrachet. For wine lovers in search of mature vintages, a 1969 Musigny from Domaine Leroy will tick off of the boxes! A delicate yet perfectly balanced wine with superb depth. The acidity that lingers in the background creates an incredibly invigorating and dynamic wine.

Stars in the Rhône Valley

Our advice to Syrah fans? Keep reading, because iDealwine has plenty of bottles that are sure to quench your thirst. Let’s start with the legendary “La La La” trio from Guigal: La Mouline, La Landonne and La Turque are all available in top vintages 1982, 1991, 2005, 2006. Domaine Jamet’s masterful Côte Rôtie wines are available in 1991 and 2004 vintages. Jean-Louis Chave’s Hermitages are the go-to choice for fans of the Rhône Valley, and are included in this sale in vinages including 1985 and 1990. To taste the dazzling wines Emmanuel Reynaud, bid on a 1985 Château-Rayas or opt for some the greatest years: 2000, 2007 and 2009.

Treasures from other French regions

Discover or rediscover the most incredible wines from the Loire Valley, from Clos Naudin (Vouvray Goutte d’Or) from Dagueneau (Vin de France Pur Sang), Clos Rougeard (Saumur Champigny Les Poyeux) and Domaine du Bel Air (Bourgueil Clos New)! For fine Champagne, there is a 1982 Krug Clos du Mesnil and a 1971 Dom Pérignon on the list and certainly not to be missed! A little detour to the Jura puts the spotlight on local grape variety Poulsard – available in the 1999 vintage from Domaine Pierre Overnoy – this one is rare and is sure to excite bidders! Finally, some beautiful Rieslings from, three bottles of 1985 Clos Sainte-Hune from Domain Trimbach are included in the sale.
