No respite for auctions! Even in August, iDealwine offers you the best choice of fine wines. This auction combines a great series of invaluable bottles. Great Bordeaux wines, fine Burgundy, rising Rhône appellations and unstoppable stars from the Loire, will make your choice cornelian. Let’s take a small tour this auction which ends on 16th August.
It is impossible to discuss this auction without mentioning Bordeaux. You’ll find great vintages and iDealwine’s favourites with vintages going from 1929 to 2014. The starting bids are at €1 only for Châteaux Giscours, Haut-Bages Libéral, Rieussec and Sociando-Mallet. Others start very high and are already reaching stratospheric levels. Unsurprisingly, the grands crus reign supreme with starting bids from €1,000 to €3,000. Lafite, Montrose, Margaux, Mouton from the left bank. Angélus, Petrus and Château L’Evangile from the right bank. Don’t miss Clos Puy Arnaud and Domaine de l’A by Stéphane Derenoncourt, bid on these blue chip of the rising appellation Castillon.
Burgundy also rolls out the red carpet with soaring-price crus. La-Tâche, Grands-Echézeaux and Richebourg from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Corton-Charlemagne from Coche-Dury, La-Romanée from Comte Liger-Belair or Montrachet from Domaine des Comtes Lafon are all tempting! Who will win these exceptional lots estimated from €1,100 to €1,800?
Many people regret the unaffordability of Burgundy wines. But don’t worry, iDealwine has what you need. In white, we advise you to bid worriless on Pouilly-Fuissé from Domaine Guffens Heynen and Pouilly-Vinzelles from Domaine de La Soufrandière. You should also be delighted with wonderful Chablis wines from Vincent Dauvissat and Domaine Raveneau.
In red, the sale is also attractive and full of renowned appellations. From Beaune, discover the premiers crus from Bouchard & Fils and its cuvée Les-Vignes-de-L’Enfant-Jesus 2006, Chambertins from our favourite Albert Bichot, Corton from Louis Latour, Gevrey-Chambertin from Domaine Rossignol Trapet, and many others. Pinot Noir lovers should be reassured, as there is something for everyone. However don’t wait too long before bidding, it would be such a shame for these cuvées to slip through your fingers.
The Rhône and its insane landscapes carved in terraces make us dream during summer. Once more, we wonder who will win the famous Côte-Rôtie from Guigal. Discover the rising appellations Cornas and Gigondas. While Cornas is represented by the unavoidable Thierry Allemand and Auguste Clape, Gigondas makes the most of Domaine Saint-Cosme. Who will be the wise lucky ones who will win these lots that met great success during the first half of 2017?
From the Loire, Clos Rougeard is reliable with its cuvées Les Poyeux and Le Clos. Undoubtedly, many people will bid on these. Will you? Otherwise, great names are not lacking: Dagueneau from Pouilly-Fumé, Clos de la Neore from Sancerre, Vouvray Constanse 2005 from Huet, a sweet white with constant success!
You will not be surprised to find names such as Tissot, Overnoy, Macle and of course Ganevat which remain the invincible figures from Jura. Here is for you the opportunity to have one of these so unusual wines, some are already ready to drink!
Southwest of France
Some domains are experiencing their hour of glory. It would be a shame to miss such emblematic cuvées from Châteaux du Cèdre, Bouscassé or Montus for example.
Decidedly, we would still need hours to describe all the fantastic cuvées at auction. Take a look and make these lovely bottles your own. Between pool, boat, hikes or barbecues, you’ll surely find time to bid!
