Head South with this sale featuring over 600 cuvées. Here are featured the sunny appellations from the South of France, but also the Mediterranean countries and the Southern hemisphere (New World): enough to discover great wines full of sun and fruit and get your cellar ready for the summer!
On the French side, discover the wines from the Rhone, Languedoc-Roussillon, Provence and even Corsica. In the South-West you will find Bergerac wines – such as the beautiful Château La Tour des Gendres – as well as Cahors – Clos Triguedina, Cosse-Maisonneuve, Mas Del Peré, Le Cèdre, and Madiran Bouscassé or Montus, wines of Irouléguy (Basque Country), Domaine Arretxea and even beautiful sweet wines like Cauhapé, Jardins de Babylonne, Guirardel and Domaine de Souch.
From the Rhône, we suggest you take a tour in the Ardèche, with Domaine des Accoles which has just joined iDealwine network of producers after having largely convinced us at tasting. More traditionally, you will also have the choice between many great Châteauneuf-du-Pape: Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, Les Cailloux, Pierre Usseglio, Saint-Prefert, Clos Saint-Jean, Le Vieux Donjon, La Barroche, Pierre André, Charvin, Marcoux , La Janasse, La Mordorée, Beaucastel, Saint-Prefert, Clos du Mont-Olivet, Clos des Papes, La Vieille Julienne and even wines from Henri Bonneau and Rayas! Still in the Rhone valley, take a look at the less mediatized appellations than CDP but which offer excellent value for money, such as the Côtes du Vivarais, Vacqueyras, Cairanne, Pays du Vaucluse, Rasteau, Lirac, Gigondas and Beaumes-de-Venise.
In Languedoc, very affordable wines are present in profusion! Apart from the sublime Domaine de la Grange des Pères, Peyre Rose and Les Aurelles, we have selected here only soft prices. We particularly recommend the cuvée Antonyme from Canet-Valette, a wine that we love at iDealwine and among the best quality-price ratios that can exist! You will also find fruity and palatable wines, ideal as an aperitif as well as more powerful and structured wines, which can accompany your barbecues this summer. Among our fetish signatures: La Terrasse d’Elise, Jean-Baptiste Sénat, Clos Marie and Alain Chabanon.
Provence is obviously ideal for « summer wines ». You will find many quality rosés, such as Domaine de Triennes, Château Revelette, Clos Cibonne, Château Pradeaux, La Tour du Bon, Sainte Roseline, Pibarnon, Château de Bellet and Château de Roquefort. Light, fresh and fruity, typically aperitif wines, rosés more vinous and structured, gastronomy.
Finally, we have selected the best Corsican wines: Comte Abbatucci, Clos Canarelli and Yves Leccia.
Even more to the South, Spain offers very great wines, of which you will find a small overview here thanks to the beautiful Bodega Ossian, Alvaro Palacios (Priorat), Artadi (Rioja), Benjamin Romeo and the famous Vega Sicilia.
In Italy, the selection is simply grandiose and diverse! From the Elisabetta Foradori (€14) to the mythical Sassicaia from Tenuta San Guido, Arianna Occhipinti and COS (Sicilia), Roberto Voerzio and Piero Antinori.
From Greece, we brought you the wines of domaines Thymiopoulos, Tetramytos and Sclavus. In Portugal, Vinho Verde and Port. In Lebanon, discover the famous chateeau Musar and Kefraya.
Last but not least, we have included some top wines from the Southern Hemisphere: Argentina – with the beautiful estates El Enemigo, Finca Las Moras and Atamisque; South Africa, with Glenelly and Sadie Family and a few niche wines from Australia and New Zealand. Enjoy!
