A grand auction is available on iDealwine until 13th December! You will discover one of the most beautiful selections of Bordeaux wines ever seen on iDealwine, combining the greatest crus and the most successful vintages of the last century (1947, 1961, 1989, 1990) and the 2000s. In each region too, the choice is incredible, a real festival! This should without doubts help you to solve the “wine” subject for Christmas.
From Bordeaux, imperials from Château d’Yquem go back to 1985, alongside several Petrus bottles (1989, 1990), first classified growths in the iconic vintages of the century (Château Lafite Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild 1982, Haut Brion and Pavie 1989, Margaux 1990, Cheval Blanc 1990, Angélus 2000) or in very mature years like Mouton Rothschild 1952, 1954, 1955, Latour 1953 Ausone and Climens 1947. The oldest vintage of this Bordeaux selection is Château Doisy-Daëne 1924, which is now nearly 100 years old. And of course, amongst all these treasures, iDealwine auctions are also generally an opportunity to buy wines at very reasonable prices, like some Pessac-Léognan or Crus Bourgeois; or at “intermediary” prices, with the second, third, fourth and fifth classified growths 1855.
Grands-Echézeaux 1959, Echézeaux 1999, 2000, 2004, Romanée-Saint-Vivant 1996, 1997 and 2004: if you dream of treating yourself to one of the mythical wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, now is the time! Chambertin from Armand Rousseau, Musigny from Comte Georges de Vogüé, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses 1990 from Mugnier or Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières from Coche Dury should also satisfy those who will succumb. Anyway, most of the best Burgundy producers are at auction in this sale: prestigious domains such as Leflaive, Comtes Lafon, Raveneau or niche names like William Fèvre (Chablis), Joblot (Givry), or Tollot Beaut (Savigny-lès-Beaune).
From the Rhône, the greatest wines are put forward with Cuvée Da Capo 2010 from Domaine du Pegaü, the Cornas 1990 from Auguste Clape, Côte-Rôtie from Jamet and of course the LA-LA-LA trio from Guigal (La Landonne, La Turque and La Mouline), as well as Cornas from Thierry Allemand and Hermitage wines from Chave. From Châteauneuf, let’s also highlight the presence of the superb Cuvée du Centenaire from André Brunel – Les Cailloux, made from vines planted in 1889! We also want to stress the fact that in this sale, alongside Château Rayas, there are wines from Domaine des Tours and many other treasures!
If you are looking for mature and iconic vintage Champagnes, you will certainly lose your mind in this sale, with Krug Vintage 1982, Charles Heidsieck Oenothèque 1989, Bollinger Grande Année 1996, Louis Roederer Cristal 2002. From the Loire, you will find one of the greatest sweet wines of the region: the Vouvray Goutte d’Or Clos Naudin, of which there is only a few vintages since it was first produced in 1947. The world star from the region, the Clos Rougeard is obviously also in this sale, just like the Dagueneau domain and most of the best Loire winemakers (Huet, François Cotat, Alphonse Mellot, Richard Leroy, Les Roches Neuves and Jacky Blot). From each region, this sale is incredible, whether it is in Alsace where you can put your hands on Riesling Clos Sainte-Hune from Trimbach; in the Jura with mature Château-Chalon, Ganevat and Jean Macle; from Languedoc with Grange des Pères; Roussillon with Gauby and Peyre Rose; from the Southwest with Les Jardins de Babylone or even Non-French wines.
Go ahead and bid!
