We made the most of summer at iDealwine, to make your return from summer holidays as pleasant as possible: our team has travelled all over France, collecting patiently one by one the cellars of our customers who wish to sell their bottles. This first sale after summer puts forward a lovely vast choice! See for yourselves.
Where else than on iDealwine could you find such a collection of Yquem imperials, a flock of Petrus and Bordeaux classified growths in the greatest vintages, a wide range of great wines from Romanée- Conti dating back to 1959, and even a Musigny 1947 from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé? Or Hermitage La Chapelle 1961, Salon champagne, Selosse, Saumur-Champigny from Clos Rougeard, Grange des Pères wines? Without forgetting old Armagnacs from 1900, and even Madeires dating back to 1820. Although, we are still capable of offering you countless treasures at reasonable prices, of course.
The oldest iDealwine customers may be tired of us repeating it – because they know it so well – but the Bordeaux selection is absolutely spectacular and the lots more than ever exceptional. Let’s start with an almost complete vertical (only the 2000 and the 2001 are missing) of imperials of Yquem, from 1982 to 2011! These rare bottles are sold individually. The opportunity to put in your cellar a nice bottle of the birth year of your child: you will inevitably find one day the opportunity to open and share these eternal wines!
Moreover bid on 25 lots of Petrus (including one 1964 and some 1990), but also all the first growths in the greatest vintages: Cheval Blanc 1947, Ausone 1947, Latour 1949 and 1982, Angélus 1990, Pavie 1990, Margaux 1990. The best classified growths figure in this sale: Léoville Las Cases, Pontet Canet, Lynch Bages, Palmer, Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Pichon Longueville Baron. But also the most beautiful Cru Bourgeois domains, the not-classified bottles and the Graves crus – in these categories, you will find the best value for money, with starting bids at €1! – Château Bouscaut, Poujeaux, Haut-Condissas, Haut Marbuzet, Gloria, Citran, Siran or Clos Puy Arnaud. Finally, let’s finish with a sweet touch thanks to the best Sauternes wines: Climens (including a 1955), Coutet, Rieussec (including a 1990), Rayne Vigneau, Clos Haut Peyraguey, Guiraud, Doisy Daëne (especially its wine called Extravagant), Suduiraut, Fargues. It is hard to find a better Bordeaux selection, isn’t it?
The Burgundy selection is also at the top, starting with fifteen lots of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Grands-Echézeaux and Echézeaux) from 1959 to 2013, with very fine vintages. Here also, enjoy very old vintages, such as Musigny 1947 from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Chambertin Clos de Bèze 1959 from Domaine Clair Daü and even, Auxey-Duresses 1928 from Leroy! In each appellation you will find the best: Coche-Dury from Meursault, Liger-Belair from La Romanée, Armand Rousseau from Chambertin, Méo-Camuzet from Richebourg, Georges Roumier from Bonnes-Mares, Leflaive from Montrachet. Many lots start their bids at €1, including very great wines, such as Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes from Dugat-Py, Meursault from Roulot, Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères from Coche Dury, or even Chablis grands crus from Dauvissat. The vast choice should satisfy all tastes and budgets.
This sale also shows a wide choice of wines from the Rhône, with a rare and mythical bottle: Hermitage La Chapelle 1961, a wine that has already auctioned at record prices on iDealwine. From Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you will find, for example, the prestigious cuvées from Clos Saint-Jean, Sanctus Sanctorum and Deus Ex Machina (2009 and 2010), but also Rayas, Vieille Julienne, Beaucastel, Clos des Papes. The most beautiful Hermitages are present (Hermitage Le Pavillon and Le Méal Chapoutier, Ex Voto Guigal, JL Chave), Côte-Rôtie (LA-LA-LA from Guigal, Côte Brune from Jamet), but also Cornas from Auguste Clape and Thierry Allemand. Note for the amateurs: there are several lots of Saint-Joseph Gonon.
In other regions, the choice is just as exciting! The best champagnes are offered (Salon, Selosse, Jacquesson, Bollinger), a very nice choice also from the Loire (Clos Rougeard, Dagueneau, Clos Naudin), Alsace (Zind-Humbrecht, Trimbach, Weinbach, Deiss), from Languedoc (Grange des Pères, Peyre Rose), Roussillon (Gauby and a wide range of Rivesaltes) and from the Southwest of France (Montus, Jardins de Babylonne, Bouscassé). Discover also a nice selection of wines from the rest of the world!
Go ahead and bid, you have until 13th September to fall for one of these treasures!
