Until 27th December, iDealwine presents its largest sale of its history. Access 6,500 lots covering almost a century of vintages: from a myriad of Château Lafite to a 2003 Romanée Conti, the catalogue is full of signatures and timeless references. Bordeaux is back!
In this sale, Bordeaux wine lovers will be pleased. The most emblematic signatures jostle on iDealwine, starting with an exceptional series of Petrus in dazzling vintages such as 1982, 1989, 2009. And above all you can acquire them by 6 or 12! You can also choose among the thirty or so vintages of Château Lafite Rothschild available in the catalogue. It is also the same for his illustrious neighbour, Mouton Rothschild. For the world’s most iconic sweet wine, Château d’Yquem, the sale offers twenty vintages between 1958 and 2008. Among the great selection of wines from the right bank comes first a series of beautiful vintages of Angelus, including 1995, 2000 and 2005. Collectors will be able to melt on some old wines like Fieuzal 1945.
Burgundy’s rare gems
The selection of Burgundy is equally exceptional. Once again, the Grands Crus wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are on the list, in particular with several vintagges of La Tâche and an acclaimed Romanée Conti 2003. If you like Domaine Méo-Camuzet, check the Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Au Cros Parantoux. Note also the series of Clos: Clos-de-la-Roche from Armand Rousseau, Clos-de-Tart, Clos-des-Lambrays,Clos-Saint-Denis and Clos-de-Vougeot (Faiveley, Rebourseau, Jean-Jacques Confuron, Georges Mugneret, etc.) and Clos-de-la-Bussière from Domaine Georges Roumier. The selection for this domaine is particularely wide: Chambolle-Musigny, Cras, Combottes, and Bonnes-Mares. White wine lovers will be pleased to see the great selection of Domaine des Comtes Lafon and Coche-Dury.
Replenish your cellar with Champagne
You Champagne selection might reduce drastically after the end-of-year celebrations! Don’t worry, we have plenty in this sale. Don’t miss the various vintages of Jacques Selosse, Krug Clos du Mesnil 1986 and the rosés from Cristal Roederer, Dom Ruinart and Comtes de Champagne. Some tips on a few interesting lots that we have spotted…
In Bordeaux, Branaire-Ducru, Chateau Camensac still very reasonnably priced. Château d’Issan is the opportunity to buy a cru classé of Margaux. In Sauternes-Barsac, if you are looking for a biodynamic producers, go for Château Climens and you also have the choice between Doisy-Daëne and Coutet. In Burgundy, head to Côte Chalonnaise: in Premier Cru Mercurey by Chamirey. Otherwise, among the reasonably priced lots, take a look at the Burgundies of Domaine Méo-Camuzet, starting at €15. In Champagne, don’t miss the wines from Ulysse Collin and Egly-Ouriet. In the Rhône, it is the opportunity to seize old Condrieux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape: Clos-de-l’Oratoire from Ogier, Clos de Mont-Olivet from Bernard Sabon, Clos-dees-Papes from Paul Avril. In Hermitage, see the superb 2005 vintage. In the Loire, you might like as we do Domaine des Roches Neuves in Saumur-Champigny, Huet in Vouvray and Chidaine in Montlouis. In Alsace, we have seen a fine series of late harvests on magnificent mature vintages like 1989 and in the Jura, it is an opportunity to stock up on Vin Jaune (Domaine Rollet) and Macvin, terribly pleasant. If we look South, you will enjoy a series of imperishable old Maurys from 1937 but also old jurancons signed Lamouroux. Enjoy!
